defriestfilm:

A self portrait of the man himself, Mark DeFriest? In the (upcoming) documentary, his wife, Bonnie, says “A clown in a straitjacket. Sort of himself, he feels.” A clown - not a killer clown - held for 30 years, most of that time in a windowless solitary cell, for being a great escaper, an incredible prankster, and a needle in the eye of humorless authority. A criminal, perhaps, but is it fair that he seems fated to die in prison for those crimes and mis-dem, er, disciplinary reports ?

“Governor Cuomo observed this week, “We have a 100-year flood every two years now.” Hurricane Sandy has made the relationship between the natural and built environment painfully clear, it is critical that we build for the future with this knowledge in mind.” Molly Dilworth, on donating her print Times Square Pour to Hurricane Sandy American Red Cross Recovery Effort.
